Miss Virginia United States

Wow. That is all I could think to say when I heard the words "...and your new Miss Virginia Junior Teen is... Kelsee Grant". As I stepped forward many more thoughts went racing through my head. I felt as if I were standing on top of the world and it was spinning faster and faster. After the thought registered I took my first walk as Miss Virginia Junior Teen. Looking out into the audience I saw proud faces gleaming and I knew for a split second that I had accomplished one of my life long dreams. The entire weekend was amazing. I met so many new friends and had such a wonderful time. I am greatly looking forward to getting closer to the other queens and Chris as well. Coming from a small town and being raised on a farm I never would have imagined something like this happening to anyone around here. Especially me. I have worked my entire life to achieve this goal and I could not have done it alone. I would like to thank God for giving me this oppurtunity, my friends, and family for always believing in me. When the curtains were drawn shut and I headed back stage, tears of joy filled my eyes and there are no words to describe the feeling that swelled up inside me. Knowing that I recieved what every girl wanted that day was such a blessing. I had a smile glued to my face and the only words I could pronunciate were "thank you". When I got home I already had visitors, had to take more pictures, and sign my very first autograph! It was all so exciting. I wanted to take a deep breathe and absorb every minute. I have my work cut out for me but I am willing to do whatever it takes now that I am living in a dream come true. I believe that the best day of your life is the one that there could have been no cameras or pictures and you still manage to remember every second of it. I will remember April 20, 2008 for as long as I live. For that is the day I became your MISS VIRGINIA JUNIOR TEEN...KELSEE CLOVER GRANT.
